A

ABS Plastic: (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) used to make light, rigid, molded products that are impact-resistant, extremely durable, and resilient to low or high temperatures

Anodized Aluminum: aluminum that has been electrochemically processed to harden the surface, making it resistant to stains and scratches

Anti-Microbial Finish: treatment applied to fabric to reduce presence of odor-causing bacteria

BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis): a precise way to estimate the amount of body weight that is fat and nonfat

C

Closed-Cell Foam: chambers in the foam are interconnected, making it very soft and cushiony

Cordura: a strong nylon that resists abrasions and tears

CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure): a treatment for sleep apnea in which a continuous stream of air is delivered through a mask worn over the nose to keep the airway open

Cumaru: an exotic South American wood that is five times harder than pine

Denier: weight measurement used to refer to the fineness of a yarn or fiber; the higher the number, the heavier the fiber

Egyptian Cotton: fine, lustrous, long staple cotton that is stronger than most cotton and usually found in superior quality products

Turkish Cotton: soft and luxurious, and more absorbent than regular cotton or cotton terry due to its long fibers and weaving process

Vacquetta Leather: South American leather that is known for looking better and better with use; extremely durable, it develops a rich patina over continued use

W

Waterfall Seat: designed to reduce pressure at the back of the knees for improved circulation

Wicking: fabric property that draws moisture away from the skin and up to the surface, resulting in drier, more breathable fabric

Yarn-Dyed: process in which the yarns are colored before the fabric is woven
